About the speaker

Marcella Cavour Born in Munich, raised in Rio De Janeiro, she has been living in Chicago since 1998. Her grandfather opened the Spiritist Center in Rio de Janeiro, Igreja Espiritualista Brasileira. After her grandfather’s passing, her grandmother continued his works until she passed away in 2019. The Center continues on with new leadership. Even though Spiritism was always part of her life, she only started studying Spiritism in Chicago when struggles with her son’s medical diagnoses challenged her faith. Her son became a Youth Ambassador for the Tourette Association of America and both have been promoting awareness about this condition to churches, schools and colleges since 2015. She has then added all her knowledge from her grandmother’s teachings with her own studies and started presenting classes on Spiritism related topics. Speaking is one of her passions and being able to help others by doing that, it has been a great honor. Marcella is a member of the Spiritist Society of Illinois.
